Self-checkout systems (SCO) are booming. While retailers have often viewed the configuration of the various subsystems in the self-checkout segment as a challenge, ANKER now offers the solution: The new self-checkout panel features a premium look and feel and includes all the necessary hardware–such as a touchscreen, scanner, receipt printer, and optional mounts for a payment terminal and handheld scanner. The SCO terminal connects to existing systems via software and integrates into the retailer’s existing IT infrastructure. It is also available upon request as a comprehensive plug-and-play solution with LocaFox POS software.

Three versions with many options

‍With its well-designed self-checkout panel, ANKER has the right solution for every need and environment, as the complete package is available in three basic configurations with numerous expansion options. The self-checkout kiosk is available as a freestanding model, for tabletop use, or for wall mounting–including a mounting bracket. Each model comes standard with a large, high-resolution touchscreen with multi-gesture functionality, an Epson receipt printer, a Zebra barcode scanner, two speakers, and LED lighting. Optional mounts for a payment terminal, a handheld scanner, and a camera can be added. Depending on the product categories sold, the available space on-site, and specific requirements, the terminals can be equipped with an additional packing table in various sizes, a shopping scale and/or checkweigher, or a cash module.

Inside the modern SCO panel, four mainboard variants run on Android or Windows/Linux.

Simple IT integration or a complete system with new point-of-sale software

‍Thanks tothe integration of standard components and a wide range of interfaces, the SCO terminal can be quickly and easily connected to existing software. As a full-service point-of-sale system provider, the ANKER offers not only the hardware but also comprehensive implementation and support services, including rollout and ongoing support.

But self-checkout systems are by no means limited to large grocery retailers and big-box stores–they also offer benefits to small and medium-sized retailers. Accordingly, ANKER also offers ANKER self-checkout towers directly with integrated LocaFox POS software. LocaFox by ANKER combines the ANKER POS system, the electronic cash book, and inventory management into a pre-installed and exceptionally user-friendly solution. This means the self-service terminal is fully operational after just a few steps.
