The ANKER is acquiring PORESY, a provider of implementation and support services for point-of-sale systems, thereby expanding its offerings to include software development, customization, implementation, and long-term support for POS systems, including 24/7 first- and second-level support. As the inventor of Cash Cassette modern Cash Cassette , ANKER Bielefeld, Cash Cassette consistently set new standards in point-of-sale hardware throughout its more than 140-year history and remains the market leader in this segment within the German-speaking food retail sector today. With the acquisition of the Berlin-based software company LocaFox in 2020, the long-established company expanded its hardware portfolio to include a cloud-based software solution for the retail sector that combines a point-of-sale system, an electronic cash register, and an inventory management system. With the recent acquisition of PORESY, the ANKER has now evolved into a comprehensive POS solutions provider offering both software and hardware–ranging from digital POS systems for small and medium-sized retailers to innovative all-in-one and self-checkout systems, all the way to full-service implementations for retail groups.
Everything from a single source
True to the motto “everything from a single source,” the corporate group is divided into three divisions: ANKER continues ANKER a comprehensive hardware portfolio for the point of sale–ranging from cash drawers and cash cassettes to flexible mounting systems–in quantities from as few as one to thousands. LocaFox offers the eponymous point-of-sale software for sole proprietorships and small to medium-sized retail businesses, while PORESY, an internationally active POS service provider with installations supported worldwide, focuses on retail groups. With this move, ANKER is ANKER evolving from a hardware expert into a full-service provider offering comprehensive POS solutions for customers of all sizes, and–as a trio of expertise–is positioning itself to meet the growing challenges of an increasingly digitized market. Customers are already benefiting from an even more attractive product and service portfolio; for example, the PORESY customer base–which has grown over decades–will continue to be served as usual by the 80 PORESY employees who have joined the ANKER , and customers can also rely on the expertise of their colleagues at the parent company. This includes support for LS Retail products, such as LS One and LS Central, as well as support for other selected third-party software.
