ANKER takes over LocaFox

The Berlin-based software company LocaFox GmbH develops and sells cloud-based software solutions primarily to individual companies and small and medium-sized enterprises in the retail sector. Now the company has been acquired by ANKER Kassensysteme GmbH, a provider of hardware and solutions for the point of sale from Bielefeld.

As a specialist for POS hardware and market leader in German-speaking food retailing, ANKER now complements its portfolio with the powerful software. The cloud cash register "LocaFox POS" with integrated merchandise management is used more than 2,500 times a day across Germany. It offers retailers services, tools and technologies that connect them to the omnichannel world. "ANKER will continue to expand sales at LocaFox in a targeted manner and thus return to its roots as a POS system provider for hardware and software," explains Dr. Schühle.
