ANKER launches specially developed store app to digitize the point of sale.
After the Bielefeld-based ANKER Group has already positioned itself as an integrated provider of modern checkout and self-checkout systems for small retailers and large stores with the acquisition of PORESY, an implementation and service provider for store and checkout systems, and its own checkout software LocaFox, 2023 is all about realignment: a single name, two divisions, and the launch of an innovative software solution for the digitization of all store processes.
"We already set the strategic course years ago to offer the best possible tailored solutions and services as a holistic provider around the checkout zone."
Dr. Fabian Schühle
Managing Partner of the ANKER Group
"Years ago, we already set the strategic course to offer the best possible tailored solutions and services as a holistic provider around the checkout zone. While we continue to enjoy maintaining our market-leading position as a niche provider of high-quality checkout hardware, we have constantly developed and optimized our portfolio. Today, for example, thanks in part to the integration of PORESY and the start-up LocaFox, the ANKER Group offers an all-round service for the POS of retailers, area markets and medium-sized retailers. As a group, we offer individually tailored solutions, from initial consulting and future-proof solutions in the hardware and software segment to the definition of specifications and comprehensive support. This will also be reflected in our realignment from 2023, which will not only involve a uniform presence under the umbrella brand ANKER Group with two divisions - ANKER POS Solutions and ANKER Applications & Services - but also the launch of an innovative software solution: the specially developed ANKER Store App, as a practical all-in-one application for digitization and end-to-end control of all store and omnichannel processes," explains Dr. Fabian Schühle, Managing Partner of the ANKER Group.
PORESY, LocaFox and ANKER have grown together to form a single group, presenting themselves as a unified POS expert with two business divisions: The original core business of ANKER POS systems, the inventor of the modern Cash Cassette, is bundled in ANKER POS Solutions and comprises the development and sale of high-quality POS hardware - from cash drawers to poles and cash management systems to forward-looking self-checkout solutions. The latter require advanced software, which brings us to the second division, ANKER Applications & Services. Here, the focus is on ANKER's own software products, software solutions from technology partners, and services from the former PORESY. Thus, the ANKER Group will continue to integrate standard POS systems, for example from LS Retail, Toshiba GSA, Ratio and the new technology partner Combase, into customer systems. But beyond that, the Bielefeld-based company is pushing its own innovative software solutions. This does not only refer to the already established checkout software LocaFox for smaller retailers. ANKER focuses on future-proof and forward-looking technologies in the POS and retail segment and launches the ANKER Store App for the digitalization of stationary stores in the new year. The smart POS solution is far more than just a checkout system. The application is a practical all-in-one package for end-to-end control of all store processes, including maximum transparency of all relevant data. It supports all areas of the omnichannel and thus also in the implementation and optimization of a cross-channel shopping experience. Thanks to innovative headless architecture, the application is easily integrated into existing backend systems. The ANKER Store app is compatible with all common operating systems and can be used on all types of devices, such as smartphones, tablets, SCO terminals and stationary checkouts.
Especially with its own new development, the ANKER Group offers comprehensive POS solutions and associated services from a single source - contemporary and future-proof: "And above all, holistic and personal," emphasizes Dr. Fabian Schühle. As an agile medium-sized company, ANKER focuses on the customer and the best individual solution for him. "Without decision-inhibiting corporate structures, we offer medium-sized retail customized solutions with personal consulting and 24/7 support. Our new Store App with modular functionality is the next logical step in offering our customers a comprehensive POS system for all channels that is not only up to date on the software side, but above all future-proof," concludes Schühle.
